The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes and procedures. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. We are on the lookout for energetic individuals with a passion for technology and data, eager to apply their academic insights to the vibrant automotive industry.
As an integral part of our Global Supply Management (GSM) Systems team, you will play a crucial role in our digital transformation initiatives. The GSM team is dedicated to utilizing technology to optimize our supply chain, improve operational efficiencies, and drive business solutions.
Primary Job Responsibilities: - Participating in the various stages of application development and implementation, including unit testing and quality assurance.
- Utilizing your expertise in data analytics to extract valuable insights from large datasets, thereby aiding in critical business decision-making.
- Designing interactive dashboards and reports using various BI tools to meet the specific requirements of our stakeholders.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify their information needs, streamline business processes, and resolve system-related issues.
- Leverage machine learning and/or LLM technologies.

Requirements: - Candidate must be attending Carnegie Mellon University
- Candidate must be pursuing a Master of Information Systems Management or a Masters in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics
- Candidate must be able to work up to 40 hours per week during the Summer
- Must have cumulative 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
- Candidate must be able to provide their own computer
