Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Applications Senior Developer with over 10 years of experience in Snowflake cloud-based data warehousing on AWS or Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex data solutions within Snowflake, ensuring data integrity, optimizing performance, and driving strategic data initiatives.

This role requires expertise in data engineering, SQL/PL SQL optimization, Snowflake development, and web application integration using Python/Java . The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead data projects, and provide technical guidance to junior developers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Snowflake Data Solutions Development:

• Design and implement scalable data models and schemas within Snowflake.
  
• Develop and manage efficient data ingestion pipelines for integrating data from multiple sources.
  
• Optimize Snowflake queries, caching, and query tuning for enhanced performance.
  
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance using Snowflake’s built-in capabilities.
  

2. Custom Web Applications & Integration:

• Develop web applications using Python/Java and integrate with Snowflake databases.
  
• Implement Snowflake REST APIs and connectors for data processing.
  
• Build UI solutions using Python UI frameworks or Streamlit for data visualization.
  
• Deploy applications on AWS/Azure cloud platforms with CI/CD integration.
  

3. Performance Optimization & Data Engineering:

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Snowflake queries and data pipelines.
  
• Implement best practices for data modeling, transformation, and storage optimization .
  
• Utilize Snowflake organization/account/history tables/views for auditing and tracking query performance.
  

4. Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership in Snowflake development.
  
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other teams to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.
  
• Ensure seamless integration of Snowflake with external tools, data exchanges, and internal marketplaces .
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✅ Snowflake Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, Snowpark functions, and data warehousing principles .
  
• Strong understanding of data sharing, security mechanisms, and Snowflake's ecosystem .
  

✅ Programming & Web Development:

• Proficiency in Python or Java for developing data-driven applications.
  
• Experience with Snowflake API integrations, AWS containers, and cloud-based deployment .
  

✅ Data Engineering & Optimization:

• Expertise in ETL processes, data ingestion pipelines, and Snowflake data loading techniques .
  
• Experience in query performance tuning, caching strategies, and schema optimization .
  

✅ Cloud & DevOps Knowledge:

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud infrastructure and its integration with Snowflake.
  
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for Snowflake applications.
  

✅ Soft Skills & Tools:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Experience with IDEs like VSCode/Anaconda and cloud development environments.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in building data marketplaces and data exchange solutions on Snowflake.
  
• Hands-on experience with Streamlit, Flask, or Django for UI development .
  
• Certifications in Snowflake, AWS, or Azure .
