Description
Demonstrating sustained improvements in student learning, Fort Howard is a 4K- 5 Title 1/AGR Schoolwide project, ethnically diverse and focuses on growth and developing the whole child. Fort Howard is a school of “Challenge and Promise”. All staff members will abide by the plans and focus the staff has put in place through our belief statements. Fort Howard has implemented a strategic support system for students' academic, social, emotional and behavior needs. Anyone interested in joining the Fort Howard professional learning community must be committed to and understand their role and responsibilities of implementing a philosophy of balanced literacy, growth mindset, Zones of Regulation, building from the strength and a willingness to learn, grow and change. Supports staff when requested. May include:
Distributing classroom materials.
Distributing messages to classrooms without disruption to classroom instruction.
Photocopying.
Entering data in District Systems.
Supports Food Service staff and aids in cleaning tables.
Supervises and supports students during lunch.
Distributes lunch items as requested by students.
Maintains a pleasant and relaxed environment.
Reinforces lunchroom expectations according to established building procedures.
Dismisses students in a timely, efficient manner in conjunction with classroom schedules.
Sets up and takes down playground equipment.
Other related duties as may be assigned by the building principal.
Working Conditions:
Work involves frequent disruptions of daily schedule.
Work requires flexibility in adjusting to continuously changing situations.
Work involves frequent deadlines under pressure to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Work requires constant monitoring and movement around the playground rather than remaining stationary during lunch/recess supervision.
Qualifications
Qualifications Required: Education: High School Graduate or equivalent
Qualifications Desired: Experience working with a diverse population of students
