Job Description

DIRECTV is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Principal, Business Administrator 1 to join our team. This role serves as a strategic business partner responsible for driving operational excellence through comprehensive process management, data analysis, and reporting. The successful candidate will lead critical business processes, provide data-driven insights to support organizational decision-making, and optimize initiatives. **Here's what you'll do:** **Process Improvement** + Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency. + Lead cross-functional projects to implement business improvements. + Establish best practices and standard operating procedures. + Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. + Analyze, develop, and document IT operational processes and workflows. + Design, format, and write technical materials such as manuals, white papers, and tutorials. + Work closely with different workstreams to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies that streamline operational workflows. + Assist with project management and operational improvements. + Handle issue escalations and troubleshoot systems issues, liaising with technology and functional teams for resolution. + Participate in ongoing monitoring and reporting of process performance to ensure continuous improvement. + Facilitate change management. + Analyze data to drive efficiencies. **Analytics and Reporting** + Design and implement KPI reporting frameworks including metrics and scorecards. + Perform gap identification analysis and develop actionable recommendations. + Create executive-level dashboards and reports for leadership decision-making. + Manage roadmap development and track progress against strategic objectives. + Conduct regular business performance reviews and present findings to stakeholders. **What you'll need to be successful:** **Experience & Education** + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred. + 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in business administration, technical writing, financial analysis, or operations management. **Technical Skills** + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis. + Technical writing and workflow documentation. + Experience with business intelligence tools and reporting platforms. + Strong understanding of IT Operations processes. **Core Competencies** + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy in work product. + Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment. + Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities. **Preferred Qualifications** + MBA or relevant advanced degree. + Experience with ITSM systems (ServiceNow). + Professional certifications in project management (PMP) or business analysis. + Experience in data and workflow visualization tools (PowerBI, VISIO). + Background in IT Operations.
