The Role:

As a Systems Engineer I , you'll work at the front lines of technical escalations and secure deployments. This is a hands-on role that blends advanced troubleshooting with operational execution-perfect for someone with a strong technical foundation who's ready to grow into deeper engineering work. You'll collaborate closely with both our Help Desk and Systems Engineering teams to support Lifecycle Management (LM), device onboarding, identity provisioning, secure configurations, and posture compliance.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll respond to advanced technical issues escalated from our Help Desk team and take ownership of LM events like user provisioning, workstation onboarding, license updates, and secure redeployments. You'll assist in project execution by handling scoped tasks such as mailbox migrations, Intune deployments, or baseline enforcement. During device setups and identity changes, you'll ensure compliance with encryption, endpoint protection, and conditional access policies using tools like NinjaOne, Todyl, and CIPP.

Your day-to-day will also include documentation updates in HaloPSA, collaborating with other engineering teams, and identifying opportunities to improve internal processes or enforce standardization. While you won't be leading projects yet, you'll be expected to consistently follow SOPs, flag misalignments, and demonstrate the professionalism and structure that our clients expect.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who's hands-on, structured, and eager to grow. You should have one to two years of experience in a systems-focused or infrastructure support role, ideally with exposure to Microsoft 365, Intune, or basic Azure environments. You should be comfortable working with documentation, client environments, and ticketing systems, and ready to step into a role that demands consistency, accountability, and attention to detail.

A strong candidate will already be familiar with patching, device compliance, and identity-based access controls, and should be confident asking questions when something doesn't look right.

What Your Schedule Will Be:

This is an in-office position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Upon the successful completion of Next Perimeter's 90-day introductory period, you'll be allowed to select one (1) recurring work-from-home day.
