Signing Bonus: $5,000 - $10,000 (Based on Experience)

Schedule:

• 12-Hour Shifts: 7 AM 7 PM or 7 PM 7 AM
• Three shifts per week (72 hours per pay period)
• Every other weekend & rotating holidays
• Multiple day & night positions available

Job Summary:

We are seeking dedicated Respiratory Therapists to join UVM Medical Center , a world-class healthcare institution that values teamwork, collaboration, and patient-centered care . This role provides professional respiratory care to adult ICU, general unit, pediatric, and cystic fibrosis patients . New hires must complete proficiency assessments within one year , with opportunities to take Charge & ED responsibilities upon completing required competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans for patients in varying health conditions .
• Provide critical respiratory care for adult ICU, pediatric, and cystic fibrosis patients .
• Work efficiently in emergency situations , responding quickly and physically to patient needs.
• Maintain and improve clinical proficiencies in accordance with department expectations.
• Take Charge Therapist responsibilities and Emergency Department coverage upon completing proficiencies.
• Work collaboratively with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes .

Required Qualifications:

Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Vermont ( must be obtained before start date ).

Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program .

New Grads: Must become a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC within one year of hire .

Experienced Therapists: Must already have RRT status .

Current ACLS, BLS & PALS Certifications .

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy .

3. On-Site Interview (Up to 2-Night Stay Paid for by UVMMC)
