Job Overview:

Silvconnect is seeking Vietnamese Interpreters to provide Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) services. As an interpreter, you will facilitate communication between Vietnamese-speaking individuals and English-speaking professionals in medical, legal, business, government, and customer service settings . Your role is essential in ensuring accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate communication.

Responsibilities:

Interpret live conversations between Vietnamese-speaking individuals and professionals with accuracy, neutrality, and confidentiality .

Provide interpretation for healthcare, legal, financial, social services, and emergency situations .

Follow industry standards and ethical guidelines to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Adapt quickly to various topics, speech styles, and accents while maintaining clarity.

Accurately relay cultural nuances to avoid miscommunication.

Maintain composure and professionalism in all conversations, especially in high-stress situations.

Requirements:

✅ Native or near-native fluency in Vietnamese and English .

✅ Experience in Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) or Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is preferred.

✅ Certification or formal training in interpretation is a plus.

✅ Strong listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills .

✅ Ability to remain neutral and professional in all conversations.

✅ Cultural awareness to ensure accurate interpretation in diverse contexts.

✅ Technical requirements: Stable internet connection , reliable computer or phone , and a quiet workspace .
